Thanksgiving!

Last Tuesday evening, we had "Praise & Prayer". We, international students, were together in order to thank Our Lord for what He has done in and through our lives during these days. It is amazing to be in God's presence together with people from such different parts of the world. We had a special service: worship songs, sharing moments and testimonies, each one of us could be there as an thanksgiving offering.

Something that came to my mind during that service was Psalm 100:

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.

5 For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Actually, I could experience these words at that moment. People from different places of the Earth were there together worshipping the one living God and giving to Him thanks. And, once again, He showed us His love and faithfulness.

Na última terça-feira, tivemos “Louvor & Oração” no Hald. Nós, estudantes internacionais, estávamos reunidos para agradecer ao Senhor por tudo o que Ele tem feito em nossas vidas e através das nossas vidas. É maravilhoso estar na presença de Deus na companhia de pessoas que vêm de diferentes partes do mundo. O culto foi especial: louvor, compartilhar, testemunhos, cada um de nós estava ali como uma oferta de gratidão a Deus.

As palavras do Salmo 100 encheram o meu coração naquela noite:

1¨Celebrai com júbilo ao Senhor, todos os habitantes da terra.
2 Servi ao Senhor com alegria, e apresentai-vos a ele com cântico.
3 Sabei que o Senhor é Deus! Foi ele quem nos fez, e somos dele; somos o seu povo e ovelhas do seu pasto.
4 Entrai pelas suas portas com ação de graças, e em seus átrios com louvor; dai-lhe graças e bendizei o seu nome.
5 Porque o Senhor é bom; a sua benignidade dura para sempre, e a sua fidelidade de geração em geração.

Na verdade, experimentei essas palavras naquele exato momento. Diferentes habitantes da terra reunidos, adorando ao Deus vivo e dando a Ele graças. E, mais uma vez, pudemos ver o Seu amor e a Sua fidelidade em nossas vidas.
